Real busy today, trying to tie up all loose ends on trailer. Hoped that three day weekend would be enough to complete it before 20th anniversary on the 29th (if any refer to my first posts, you can see that -ostensibly-the trailer was being built for my wife to use). She only became interested recently, when I stated that it might be an anniversary present (boy, that made it easier to buy parts for a change, with no bitchin', haha). After finishing the windows yesterday, I could re-install the carpet again, and finally unroll the mattress. Perfect fit (twin size for a 4x8 trailer, need multiple pillows, slant back foam piece-apnea and reflux-, and bedcovers with curtains to match-researching for just the right theme). With mattress in, added hold down loops to be able to fold mattress in half> then use E-track to secure waterjug2 and ice chest in forward cargo area (for travel).107314107315107316 Everything fit as I had drawn it up months ago, without test fitting anything. Sometimes I get lucky (not often).Details and descriptions more elaborate in my gallery.... After all that was done, I sanded and sprayed bedliner on my fenders (had to cover up poly drips on black paint), but only had enough for 1st coat (2nd can went bad).107313. Then I added conspicuity tape on rear frame (may add more, can never be too visible!). 107312 Then, as an afterthought, I went back to my A/C thermal shutdown problem, and drilled seven 3/8" holes in the louvered vent' rainshield to increase airflow (airflow noticeably better, to my perception); with the inline duct fan due in on Friday, I can rework the ducting and finish the HHRv on Saturday.107311

Painted along the bottom below the galley (black) cut my aluminum angle trim to fit and drilled the holes. I will mount it tomorrow.
Bought a comforter, put the linens on the bed and got one of my throw pillows done then realized I didn't order enough piping for the two of them.

My little 6 ft "Stacker" TD kind of looks like a Walt Disney tag along, so I am in the process of making some modifications. I always liked the Trolley Top look that Doug Hodder did on one of his latest creations, so I am cutting a hole in the roof and adding a similar addition to my blue and yellow, one-man, one-dog camping rig. It'll have 4 round windows on each side and will be hinged to lift up, so I can stand up to change clothes and take care of any elimination needs in the middle of the night, if you know what I mean.

Got to have a woodworking project going all of the time, after all it keeps me out of the bars and away from those 80 year old hotties. I was told that my teardrop and cute little dog, would be a chick magnet, but I am beguining to think that there are only a few 80 year old chicks left. Anyway, I will continue to destroy a perfectly waterproof roof, and add perhaps, a possible leaking extension on high.

got some grinding done, killed the second grinder, this one from Lowes. tried some paint stripper on it, the paint laughed at me and called me bad names
so it will have to be wire wheeled off... that is going to take forever unless i can convince him to get some actual automotive stripper.

I made a pair of tambour doors in my galley. And they even work. Yay.

Then I decided to put a little stain on them.

Yep. I'll put some sort of little shelves inside to hold plates and cups and dry goods, and have a single pull out on the bottom with a stove and cooler on file cabinet slides. If I don't mess it up.

got my hitch ordered for my car. very excited for that. Humidity has spiked this week which is really weird for my area. usually its 'yeah its HOT but its a dry heat' hopefully it scoots away soon so i can do more paint stripping on the trailer. it's not taken a blood sacrifice yet so its not officially a project yet ^.^

I added the finishing touches to my A/C system ( a chassis cooling fan, and power consolidation switch)108158 108161http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=54945&p=1018684#p1018684. Then I added a "Made in USA" sign for all to see when I open the hatch. 108162 And then I test fitted my custom manufacturer's (me) data plate. 108163 It'll go on tomorrow when I put the covers on the mattress and curtains on the rods in the windows. Build will be complete! ...for now....

Made new curtains the other day. Hit a few estate sales today and picked up a home made survival kit. Inside was a brand new 1986 coleman white gas lantern and lots of other treasures for the tear for $25 bucks. I love estate sales.. Making cover for the cushions now. :?
