You all will find my choice as a last resort. lol. I love to kayak, DH doesn't. DH prefers a canoe. One time in a sit-on-top kayak, he said killed his back. Not in a position to haul one because at the time I only had a Honda Civic and was tent camping, I purchased the "el cheapo" Coleman inflatable.
I can't say it resembles kayaking at all...lol....but it got me on the water the last 3 summers. I know they make some good inflatables, but I just wanted something to get me on the water to float a gawk.
Now that I have a T@B and will be purchasing an SUV this fall, I would like a sit-on-top that I can haul. I'm interested in the responses you're getting. We live near a very large lake used by hundreds of recreational boaters, and I float in the coves. I love to paddle MO's Current River, Meramec, and Black, but probably wouldn't haul my own kayak down there... We rent for day floats.
