DO Stand

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

the problem with the pizza pan... btdt.... is a good wind comes along and then your food is dirt gritty. I do dislike that. LOL

also I've used those wood screens you put in fireplaces. those are good for logs on a raised pit too to help with air circulation from underneath.

So, after the cookin' and eatin' is done, what do you do with the ashes in a campground?

Wait till tha coals burn out and the ashes cool. Then look both directions to make sure no one is watching and toss high in the air and let the wind take it. If some one see's ya doit then yell " A Bee" or somthing like.

You can put them in your neighbors dutch oven when he isnt looking.

There are lots of things to do with ashes.

Just say you are spreading your great aunt Edna's ashes at her favorite camp ground per her wishes.

Actually, I have always brought my ashes home and put them into the compost pile. It's better for my garden and I never have to give a thought about a fire starting in a place I have spent my time and given me pleasure catching fire because I was a lax individual.

;) Put those ashes in the fire pit where they belong unless you have a reason to keep them. 8)

HEY CLIFF don't stop at a simple shelf and basket I had one at the Crossroads
gathering that had a bicycle water bottle and bulb horn on it also.

That way you can stay hydrated ( or put out spot fires)
and honk when dinner is ready

:rofl2:

They were on it when I bought it at Goodwill Honest they were

I just remembered, I gots one of those dish things on the side of my house. It was there when i bought the place in 2005. But since I don't watch TV I just don't think about it enough to remember to take it down. Shot, I haven't had a TV since May 2001. Almost 11 years.

slowcowboy wrote:dumb. but how hot does this do stand get or how much heat do you get on the sides of a do?

how close to a teardrop could you place this walker and sattallite set up with out catching things a fire?

slow

I'd leave enough room to walk between the DO stand and the teardrop. Not really necessary to have that much room, but why not be safe.

I actually leave 6 to 8 feet. I don't want anything (tourist, kid, dog, bear or stoopid cook) knocking hot coals into or onto my trailer! :frightened:
