Like most Scotty's it needs work.
All the windows as well as the door have to be redone.
I'm gonna redo all the siding and put a rubber roof on it too.
Some of the wood is missing as well as the cabinets and must all be replaced.
I'll re-enforce the frame as well as replace some wood there too.
But hey, a little work and it'll be practically brand new.

I started stripping the frame yesterday.
Found the vin and discovered its a 1966, 13', production # 6810, Goucho Model made at the main plant in Irwin, PA.
Thanks to Jerry Maurer for showing me where to find the Vin.
Its got a broken spring so its getting new "Torsion Axel" running gear.
Its going to go into the 60 degree range tomorrow so I'll probably start sand blasting and change out the Axle.
Pulled apart the windows, straightened them out and basically found out what I had. The door is shot but the frame and screen door are in tact. I have found a new/different door.
I'll have to make new jams for 1 of the windows and possibly a second.

The Frame

I was relatively impressed with the construction of the drop portion of the frame.
Some of the ones I have had a glance at were real crap..no reinforcement, "but to but" welds, But this has gussets and reinforcement all over.

I feel just a good cleaning, the new axle and tar coating will put this frame in good shape again.
All my photos so far.
