R.W.Johnson?

Postby nikwax » Sun Oct 11, 2009 2:53 pm

is R.W. Johnson still in business? I sent him an email and it bounced "user unknown." I don't want to call him on a Sunday.

Someone broke one of my crank-out windows and I need a replacement. Does anyone else sell these?

RW I don't think ever responds to an e-mail. You gotta call. I haven't seen him in a couple of years though. He's a retired guy operating out of his house. Doug

talking to him now. As you say, nice fellow. :-)

BTW, the windows only come in black powder coat now. So I'll have one black window and two aluminum.

I have a crank out aluminum window I removed to replace with a door.
What size do you need?

A 100 years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child

If you're going to replace the whole window, I'd love to have the guts from the old one. As you may recall, a bear stripped out the mechanics of one of our windows (a 18"wx15"h unit) this summer. The window glass and frame are fine, but the knob and crank mechanism are shot.

If you would be interested in parting out the guts from your broken window, I'd be very happy. This would save me from replacing the whole thing, breaking the sealst, etc. Please PM when you get a chance.

My name is Michael Johnson, RW Johnson's son.

Ron passed away on September 7, 2011 after suffering a debilitating stroke almost 2 years before. He was a great man and is sorely missed. I have spoken with many of his previous customers, and it always brings me great joy to know that they have such high respect for him.

I have been running the business and taking orders for the last two years. I plan on keeping with the philosophy of my dad of offering a quality product at a reasonable price. I think you will still find that teardroptrailers.net offers some of the best pricing available for teardrop and Mullins trailer parts. In addition to providing top-quality parts, I also strive to save you money on shipping. I will always go out of our way to find the least expensive way to ship you your parts. Please note, that we do not charge anything over and above our cost for shipping. The only way to do this, is to have you pay for shipping in a separate transaction. That way, I can measure and weigh your packages and give you the exact cost on shipping. It is more work to do this but, this is how my dad did it, and I have continued in that fashion.

Additionally, I upgraded the website with new pictures, descriptions and an online shopping cart so you can purchase straight from the website. If you have questions, you can always feel free to contact me at 916-231-0034. I am an optometrist by trade and I have all e-mails forwarded to my main e-mail address at [email protected], so the response will come from that e-mail.

Michael...sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I had purchased axles, fenders, windows and door parts from him in the past. I always enjoyed visiting with him and talking about his Hudsons. Doug
