Fire Extinguisher

I just bought a fire ex. for La Tortuga.. It is a First Alert Recreational rated for b and c type fires liquids and electrical.. Seems that should cover it I guess so would this take care of an out of control campfire or burning lawn chair .. What extinguisher do you all carry... La
Tortuga is all wood would go up very fast.

We have a small canned fire extinguisher. I don't remember the brand but it comes in an aerosol can like the one below.

They are surprising efficient and easy to store. If I need anything larger then I'm screwed.

I have 2 in the cab, & 2 mounted at the rear of the canopy on the truck.
1 in the teardrop & 1 in the galley.

I make sure my family has a few in the house, 6 of them in a 4 stall shop, dozens of alarms in the home and shop, but just don't travel with one....

It's actually against the rules for me to carry an extinguisher in my Dart when I drag race it!!!! They are afraid it would knock someone out before it would do any good putting out a fire! No $hit!!!

A fireman ??? And NO extinguisher ?? Jus plain FOLLY ! I keep one in my car..class ABC.. and since I tow my TD with the same car.. voilla.. fire extinguisher !

Many years ago, I ran into someone who told me about his personal good samaritan project. He stuck an address label onto the fire extinguisher in his vehicle, and freely offers it to those in need (ie: have a fire to put out). He would leave his empty fire extinguisher with the person who needed it, and only asked for then to buy two fire extinguishers in return. One is to be installed in their vehicle, with their address label on it. The other one is to be mailed back to him, at the address on his extinguisher that he left with them.

My personal fire extinguisher has been left with someone on the side of the road twice. One person sent a replacement, and the other one sent TWO replacements along with a note about feeling guilty that I left their fire without an extinguisher in case something happened to my own vehicle.

With lawyers going after good samaritans for all kinds of reasons these days, I sometimes think twice about doing this any more. However, if you're in a part of the country where people still appreciate favors, feel free to stick an address label onto your own fire extinguisher in case someone needs it on the side of the road.....

As a matter of fact, the peeps in my car club know to call "Robert"..HE has damn near everything in that BUG !

We have a guy in our canoe club that carries so much extra gear in his whitewater kayak that the boat has been named "The Swiss Army Boat". Sounds like you have a German "Swiss Army Car".

The "Road Kit" was put together fer MY personal use. After observing sum (now ) friends use THEIR road kits as good semaritans.. I jus kept addin thangs to the kit...

"I" may not be able to DO the repairs, but I have the parts !!! At more than jus a few shows, I've had strangers come up and ask if I'm Robert... the guy with the "stuff"...

Mostly they want gas...have can, will travel. AND, with the tow hitch on the car, I'm now a tow truck...Muahahahahaha !

The galley should have a class K extinguisher. Or better yet if your bacon is on fire, put a lid on it and smother the fire.

My first aid kit started out small for the back packing, cross country skiing, & snow shoeing I did years ago.
As time went by things got added to it.
