For the past year and a half, I've been working on a film about historic camping and teardrop trailers. At last, I can say it is done (see the preview here: http://www.overlandtrailer.com/the-film/)
As an educator, I wanted a resource to use in my history classroom that shows the effect of mass produced transportation, national park camping desitnations, and the effects of WWII on the RV & teardrop industry.
I've found that this 55 min film has a broader appeal than its intended audience (high school students).
This is a not-for-profit project. The proceeds from this project go to:
- paying off the overhead for making the film
sending free copies to high schools
to start a fund for like-minded educators to make similar outdoor-themed film projects.
If you'd like to stream or download the film, you can get it through Amazon.com here: http://www.amazon.com/Historic-Camping-Teardrop-Trailers/dp/B005IXQR7E/ref=sr_1_1?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1314232235&sr=1-1
