It's nice, but also a shame what they did to this trailer.

The car originally built for the Topper movie was a 1936 Buick Roadmaster chassis with a custom body by the coachbuilding firm of Bohman & Schwartz of Los Angeles, CA.
The car still exists today in slightly modified form on a Chrysler chassis from the '50s.

When I was going through the palnning stages and before welder met steel I thought of converting a Jeep or a Cessna. I really think teh cessna would of been fun but the cost of the hull was too much. It would of taken the build in a different direction. Tow it by the tail and beef up the suspension. the jeep i was thinking of taking out the engine and the floor and leveling it all. tow it from teh front with no front wheels. played with the idea of the galley where the engine was or do the hardtop and have that access to the galley. I am happy with the path I have taken and still use jeep parts where ever i can.

Hi Forest747,

Here's a Brit who did it with a 1964 Piper PA30 Comanche:

Here's the builder's web site:

This one was at the Jeep Toys for Tots run in Chicago a few years ago. Did not see it this year.

Cool! But I'm sure he could get a smaller satellite dish to carry round when he's camping!

My friend is making the VW bug trailer....for his scooter. He's got the TV...and he said that trailer (he showed me the exact same picture) was just some fenders and other parts from a Bug attached to a trailer frame.

It would make a better teardrop, though. Whole lotta trailer for one vintage scooter.
