Home built Teardrop Design

Postby cuyeda » Thu May 24, 2012 2:21 am

Friends of ours showed their new teardrop concept off at the Pismo Rally. I had a glimpse of their design last year in CAD. Very nice for the first teardrop build!

What a pretty design. Do you know the dimensions? I'm guessing they roll the canvas down to enclose the sleeping area at night?
Remember, the turtle won. :)

Perhaps there is enough room for the bed inside of the teardrop and the enclosed "hatch" is a standing-height change area.

Bonnie, I don't know the exact dimensions.

The bed area can be converted either way, with hatch open or closed. If you are taller than they are, then it might be a bit tight. This won't be the last build as they get continued feedback, and more ideas. I'd say they are off to a good start. You may not be able to see the details, but rivets are used for all of the skins and trim.
