Hammacher Schelmer

I will never buy from these people again. I ordered a pair of sandals mens size ten . No way were they a mens size ten . I suspect they were a woman's 10.. So I return them for a refund. They refund the price of the sandle 89 bucks but not shipping and handling . So I am out 27.90 I will never buy from them again. I ordered these in good faith if they run that small there should be a warning.. Watch these guys Dont shop Hammacher Schelmer . I know 27.90 isnt anything to them but as a retiree on a fixed income it means something to me.. I see they canceled my last post suppose they will do it again.. Today I will post this on some of the other boards I frequent.

Did you pay 28 bucks shipping and handling when you bought them. If so......................DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this was their restocking charge, I'd raise holy hell until I got some sort of satisfaction out of them. They sent the wrong size, they should supply the correct item or eat the whole deal. Unacceptable and I bet the sandals were ChiCom

Did you collect any measurements and photos to show they weren't size 10 men's? File a small claims for misrepresenting goods sold, or buy 1 share of their stock, then contact their investors relations .... Ask to speak at the next board meeting. As a shareholder that is your right. Sure the problem will be resolved quickly :)

I've seen the stock trick done once. Worked well, and the stick went up and the investor was able to sell that for a profit as well. :)

Welcome to the global economy, someone, somewhere is selling a shoe or sandal made by some poor slob in a 3rd world country that gets paid next to nothing. That pair of sandals probably has close to 8K miles on them before they got to you...something like footwear is a real dicey thing online. That aside, their return policy says it's all on you for the shipping. Not much you can really do now except vent or spend the time and effort to harass them. How much is your time worth? Sadly, that is the way the world is going. I got a pair of Nike's recently....fit well, and feel good, but developed a squeek....Just sound like they need a grease zerk in them....oh well. Not worth the fight for me. Doug

I tend to agree....but some fights are fun just for the fun of it....the "bite me" factor...

Sure! A good pair of hiking sandals from Keen will set you back $100 or more. I paid $80 on sale and have worn mine every day for almost two years with almost no visible signs of wear.

These were supposed to be good hiking sandals with arch and heal support . They looked good but wouldn't fit.. I don't mind paying for quality . My feet are screwed up from wearing flat sandals all summer.

If you paid with a credit card, complain to the cretit card company, they may get your money back for you.

I wear Teva's.I got them at sports Authority.I paid about $40 for them and thought that was high but they aren't hiking sandals since I don't hike but I do walk in them a lot.I also wear them daily 7-8 months a year.I guess they are decent though it's a lot more expensive than the Wally World ones I used to buy for $12-18.I guess I'll live with the price since I doubt they will take them back since they're over 10 years old.
