Door Shape: Does anyone have one like this?

Postby burlesot » Sun Jul 29, 2012 4:51 pm

I'm wondering if anyone has a door on their teardrop that looks similar to this design found on the Vacations in a Can custom trailers. 96134

I'm wondering how much more difficult it would be use this type of design.

Thanks,
Todd

Before you even think about building, you need to go and see some teardrop trailers up close. Not just pictures of them. 85% of the teardrops out there have doors similar to the example you gave. :o

Don't know where you live but a Teardrop Gathering near you would be a good place to see them. It would be worth it in the long run. Even if it takes a couple hours to get to one. Take a look at my web site, that will help but you need to see some up close.

Gage. I live in southern Idaho. About 150 miles east of Boise. I saw my first teardrop up close when I built mine. Yeah, not the way to do it. And I didn't find this forum until the day I started cutting iron for the trailer. Building it was an education. In some ways I am glad I didn't see some up close as I like the features I built for the way I travel and camp. But as most do I find it is way over built and to heavy.
