Any ID ideas?

Postby GuitarPhotog » Thu Aug 02, 2012 5:19 pm

This trailer belonged to my uncle in Carmel CA in the early 50s. This picture was taken in ~1953 on a family camping trip to Big Sur.

Does anyone have any ideas of the make/kind of teardrop it is? The profile/door/eyebrow make it look a bit like a Kit of the era, but the complete lack of fenders stumps me.

This is the only picture, and it was found only last week :D

Well it looks like a KIT to me. Not all early KIT teardrops had fenders. Mater of fact the early basic KIT teardrops mfg'd didn't have fenders. So chances are it's a KIT. ;)

Yep ... it's a KIT! Look closely at the galley. Like Gage said, early KITs didn't have fenders, nor did the "Sportsman" models of '46-'48.

COOL pic, BTW!
