What kind of glass do I need?

Postby droid_ca » Mon Sep 10, 2012 11:24 pm

Ok here goes I have an idea I'm trying to work out for a light weigh trailer I was thinking about a puffin design but been reading another read about how the wind resistance on the raindrop front end is so if I were to do a big front window non opening what kind of glass do I use lexan plexi acrylic I'm lost and how thick could I co as I was thinking that one piece curved for the front might be an interesting idea so I would need it to be scratch resistant and possibly shatter proof doesn't have to stop bullets or anything just would hate to see it get all scratched up by small passing branches...Thank you

I recommend AR2 polycarbonate. The AR2 stand for abrasion resistant which is a coating on both sides of the polycarbonate. You can bend it also. I sell al lot of this product for heavy equipment. The abrasion resistant coating is so good you can even run wipers on it. Hope this helps!

Thank you DRYVEM I have been waiting for some who was in the know of what I'm looking at I'll have to check in to that stuff and find out how much it is as it will help out immensely with what I'm thinking of designing do you have any more information on the stuff...Thanks again
