jb1957, I am making plans to build a TD to pull behind my Goldwing.

Would you mind sharing your plans, materials list and pics?

I was looking to build a TD that was under 400lbs. and yours seems to fit the bill.

What trailer/chassis did you use.

It looks like you used wood siding.

Thx.

@ djoyner, just click on DESIGN RESOURCES in the link at the top of the page and then on pico light. You can download plans for a pico light there.

I went buy the plans on this site except I used 1/2" for the floor and I used the same 1/4" for inside the plan calls for 3/8" floor
and single wall side I went the screen for better venting the toung I used 1 1/2 x 1/8" angle with a heim joint as a coulper
the box tubing is strong but what the plan called for was so thin wall I thought it would rust from the inside out to fast
and I used FRP panels to cover the 1/8" ply on the roof also I added 1/8 ply on the bottom to make floor stronger and a smoother
air flow the weight extament on the plans is off I came out with a weight of 260#

@Lgboro - thanks for the link. I'm still trying to find my way around this wonderful site!

@job1957 - thanks for the additonal information. I think I'm going to use a 4 x 4 HF trailer and extend the floor 2 1/2 ft, so my build may weight a little more than #260. If I can keep the weight under #400, I'd be happy.

I think that shell would be strong enough for the extra length with out the extra weight of the HF trailer but if you
have a coupon for the HF trailer it would be less $$ than the torsion axels HF trailer with 14 ga aluminum diamond plate used sears car top carrier about $ 225.00 had a coupon cartop used made the hitch swivel been on the interstate 75+ mph you dont know it is there good luck with your build
