Hi all,
If you look at my avatar you will see a beautiful big puppy, she is 6 years old but has a small (?) problem. Because of her problem, I also have a problem. It's very difficult for Kody to jump up into the cabin and to lift her into the cabin is very difficult for me. Kody is 75 pounds and I am 70 years old. My sweetie would also like to be able to enter and exit the cabin with a minimum of difficulty. The only way I can find a solution to this problem is to use a set of steps.
How have you guys designed a set of steps to enter and exit the cabin? Kody's problem is that she is terrified of open steps and I hope to be able to train her to walk up steps without fear. Even for us, being able to use some steps would be fabulous as we could ensure that we don't track mud and dirt into the cabin. The thought of carting a set of steps around is just gross! Where would you store and carry such a monsteroid? If I were to go Tear-dropping on my own, there would be no problem but going away on my own would result in my rapid demise. If/when I am able to train Kody to walk up the steps, she will also stand on the steps for me and I can wash each paw in a bowl of water. How have you guys made and carried steps? Are they worth the time to build?
