Slow, most tow vehicles are 5' wide or more. Measure the width of your tow vehicle. Then, subtract 6' (the width of your proposed wild goose build) from your tow vehicle width. Divide the remaining 1 to 2 feet by two. That's how much of your trailer will stick out past the tow vehicle on each side. If you have a problem, you can always add side mirror extensions to your tow vehicle. A lot of people tow 6' wide trailers. They just aren't usually teardrops.

Are you planning on having your new teardrop done in time for your honeymoon?

I have a 6' wide utility trailer, the same width as the full span of side view mirrors on the van. towing it empty is no big deal as the sides are chain link fencing, however full of stuff it is a pain to see around, mostly I can only see what is behind me when going around a corner. If I set the side mirrors to show me the road beside the trailer they still show me enough to be able to change lanes safely. Good luck with the build.
crazy idea- put a periscope on the TV high enough to see over the td...

The mirrors that came on the Ranger work for the pointy trailer. I tried and extension mirror, thinking that would help see behind better, but it was not to be. I shall be returning it.

You can't see tailgaters. I hope if an emergency vehicle is behind that they get so I can see them. It was hard to get used to not seeing so well behind as I could with the Little Guy 5 wide.

Perhaps you could make a similar rig. Here it is upright. It all folds down.

Compass Rose is 6' wide and we tow with a Subaru Outback with the stock mirrors, it is not ideal but it does work.

No worries, take your time. I'm most curious to see the profile of your new design. Have a good one!
