Right now it's 36 degrees and it's raining like a cow pissin' on a flat rock.
So no repainting my stove till spring, unless I want to spray paint it in my apartment. Not.

when I was a little boy back in the last century we always had snow
some of my best memories are when we "town-Boys" would take our flexiable flyers and go "sledding".
one hill ended in a creek the trick was to see who could get the closes to the edge without going in,
sometimes you walked home with soaking wet clothes.
one other site we used was in the next town over the town would close off hilly Bridge street for us to use.
what's better than a bondfire hot coco and girls.........
now its; "I hope it snows on Christmas", which it hasn't in the past two or three years.
so slow I too may join you in a brown Christmas altho the grass is still green.

Just be thankful you are not in Wisconsin or Minnesota!

It's winter in Wisconsin & Minnesota
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love this state
When the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
You may think I'm a fool.
I could never leave this place ,
Cause I'm frozen to the stool.

Sorry to hear about the combine.
There's always next year. Just have to remember when you park it for the season, to point it how you want.

We had a white-patch Christmas, with snow left over from the storm a week ago. But the blizzard hit in the early hours of the 26th - a great excuse for another day off! A jewelry store in town had advrtised that all purchases would be free IF it snowed 3" or more on Christmas Day. Bet they were glad the blizzard waited until the day after!

I really need to re-retire one of these days.
