welcome there is a "Electrical Secrets" section as well as some off site items
like http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx and http://www.balmar.net/.
these are a couple that come to mind right now there is a world of information
on the web that may be some use to you as well.
I would also suggest you make a line and box drawing of what you want to do
not a detailed drawing but just a single line drawing

again welcome.

The first thought that comes to mind is that you are sort of backwards to the way most RVs and camping trailers are done. The standard is to take 110 from outside into the RV. It is then run thru a CONVERTER that charges the battery and provides both 12 volt to heater, lights, and 3 way fridge. Then if you are boondocking with no shore power, and for some reason want to run something 110 you then use an inverter to get 110 from your batterys. The downside is that you go thru battery power very quickly.

My opinion is to go 12 volt as much as possible. Three batteries will be very heavy.

1st are you going to have shore power [ if so why go 12v to 120v ]
2nd go straight 120v and have charger for batteries [3 are a bit much]
3rd have a convertor 12v to 120v for times you are without shore power [or have a generator]
4th I have a 7x14 and i can camp about 5 days with out any power other then 1 battery only run light off battery.

Yes the Trip would work but to simplify you might want to consider a Progressive Dynamics power center http://www.progressivedyn.com/all_in_one_pd4000.html which will make the wring easier. It is not an inverter but I am one of those who believe in separate is better, as when one thing fails you only have to fix/replace the one thing.
One other aspect to consider is that you are paying a premium price for the integration of a so so converter with a so so modified sine wave inverter.
