I have a flashlight in each room of the apartment.
Propane lantern and stove for power outages ready to go.
But alas, being a neighbor to Paine Field where the put together the Boeing 787, our power is never out for longer then half an hour.

I do find it annoying as I have to get up to do this, maybe a remote is out there to help with the situation.
