Having a good week

Postby pete42 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 8:24 am

How do you know your having a good week?

when you only have three (3) doctors appointments, monday, tuesday, thursday and the temperture is 5 degrees outside -12 with windchill. :frightened:

when I left home monday it was cold but sunny the closer I got to the doctor's office the sunny day had turned into a cold snowy day.
when I left his office the car as well as the ground was covered with snow, now I was cold driving on snow covered roads and I was hungry.
I discovered I left my wallet home, I knew where it was, laying on kitchen table, but knowing that didn't help my hunger pains.

then on the 20 mile drive home I ran into a white-out it was snowing and blowing so hard I could just make out the road this lasted about ten miles
when I neared my home it was covered in bright sunshine.

Later I heard there was a multi-car pileup on Interstate 70 not to far from where I had just been and saddly a twelve year old boy lost his life.

we are suppose to have three more days of snow with thursday to be the worst so I'll have to get the ol' four wheel drive truck out.

only two more Doctor's to go, today and thursday if I don't forget my wallet again I'm going to get me some chicken wings at "Roosters".

How's your week going?

I am stuck in this hospital every day for 10 hours, day after day, week after week after week.
My toes are cold, if I work in the -80 sample freezers I get warm. The subzero freezers produce a lot of heat. :?
The outside temps are darn right frigid.

Looking forward to 3 week March vacation to Florida. :)

So far, so good. And definitely better than last week! Last week the river was above flood stage, with 8" in the garage. Gertrude was vacationing at the local Ace Hardware's back lot, and I was sheltering-in-place at home, having promised my kids I would NOT vehture out into the flood waters. This week the river is back in its banks, Gertrude is home, the garage has been power washed, and I am making progress in getting rid of some of the junk that has collected over the years. All that, and I get to make reservations for CRA on Friday!
Sharon

I really need to re-retire one of these days.

I know I'm gonna have a good day when I drop my toast and it lands buttered side up.

Cheers,

Gus
