So funny you brought this up tonight! Hitting the woods in two weeks. Bought two of these tonight. Not home made, or a twig from a tree like I was raised on, but thought they were very cool. Some telescoping bliss. With a fork, a spork and a knife!

That was the stick I saw a month or so ago that inspired this thread.
I knew it was cool but forgot what it was and where I had seen it???

for years we used a clothes hanger looking device when it became to rusty we bought one from Walmart it has never
been used sold our trailer and haven't been camping since.

Got a couple of these ....



Course had to do a little tweaking to get tines straight and needs a bit of sharpening, but they collapse down nice and short for storage...

Well shoot! Got up this morning to an email from the manufacture of these and was informed that they are completely out of stock and do not know when they will be available again. I thought the whole idea with the attachments was pretty dang cool.

That is what we wanted to see!
But, went out to Canandian Tire yesterday and bought some boring but practical telescoping hotdog sticks for $5.00 ea.
They fit in the tote with all of the other camping gear, but not as imaginative as something we could have or should have created in the shop!

Plasma cut out the front and back of silhouette of your rat rod of choice, add prongs for dogs, weld a base to hold them on grill, or do the same plasma to make rockabilly guys and dolls, while you are at it, old rims that are bent or unsafe make great fire bases for dutch ovens, embellish rat rod style.
