4th July Car Show - Chatham Dockside. UK.

Not quite teardrop related..... Buut,

On the first Thursday of every month there is an informal gathering of Hot Rods, American cars, Muscle cars, Harleys etc. at the Chatham Dockside shopping centre.

Cars just start arriving from around 5pm and last month there was in excess of 100 cars, this month, I think more than 130 cars of all sorts and shapes came, that does not include the Harleys and some other specials we had yesterday on the 4th of July.

We decided that Nicola would stay with and keep her mum company, while I took her dad and Mickey our neighbour down to look at what was on offer.

Before that Mickey and I had been to an engineering shop to have my rear bumper and tow bar drilled out to size so that I could get the tow ball on for the teardrop trailer.See Page three of the trucks thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/show ... p?t=585901

Looking from the top down, there were a lot more cars about.

I took pics of the majority, but would have missed some.

Completely random, as I saw them come in or parked up.

Driver had to do a donut on leaving, lovely to see, but of course the sort of show off behaviour that gets events like this shut down.

A pair of Honda powered specials, no idea what engines etc, but lovely and real artistry in the handmade tanks etc.

Thanks for the tour Grizz. It's different and cool for me, seeing so many familiar American cars and knowing they're on your side of the pond. Lots of serious hot rods there for sure, of all makes and origins 8)
