Chairs?

Postby VijayGupta » Fri Aug 23, 2013 7:56 pm

Never found the fold-up canvas chairs very comfortable. I've had my eye on these for a while. They slip apart and the seat slides into the back to make a compact package. I just don't know how they sit without doing a mock up. Anyone ever built or used one?

for future reference, here's one of several sets of plans: http://www.minwax.com/wood-projects/pdf ... e-seat.pdf The one pictured is from WOOD magazine

I have 2 of those chairs made from Teak. They are super comfortable but very heavy. The only down side is they set low and lean back, making it hard for an old fat man like me to get up when my drink runs out.

I too have a set of these.
Very heavy and not so compact to store.
Probably not the best answer for teardrop camping.

I have a chair similar made by Blue Ridge Chair Works. I use a boat cushion and have really enjoyed the chair.
