Love them all...I'm a car guy, first. If I could put an engine on the tongue of my trailer and drive it, I'd try. I have a GMC Motorhome story from 1977...coming back from Pikes Peak thru New Mexico, I was doing about 70mph behind three semis. In my rear view mirror I saw a large shape rapidly approaching; I mean RAPIDLY. As it got nearer, I saw it was a GMC Motorhome. When it passed me (two lane road), I saw it was being followed very closely (almost NASCAR-like) by 10 other cars at high speed also. My Volvo (yes, a Volvo) shook from the airflow. Being a leadfoot (Volvo 142 notwithstanding), I quickly followed suit. I passed the three semis, and got up to about 100 mph, then saw it was a lost cause to try to catch them in my 4-cylinder. I wonder how fast they were all going (I think the GMC was pulling away), and why. I wish I had had my '66 Chevelle back then, or even my '67 Dodge Monaco 500 two-door hardtop...I would've caught that beast.

Partial to the VW 5th wheel. Wonder how hard it would be to do in foam?

The biggest issue would be the roof mounted hitch system. You'd need to distribute the load to the tops of the pillars. Second biggest issue is the frame, but that is similar to a standard pickup bed hitched 5th wheel so is no biggie. I briefly considered doing a 5th wheel for my small pickups, but then figured I'd really want to be able to pull it with my SUV too.

I've wanted this one for years, but built my own non-powered trailer with its philosophical basis in mind " non-lethal battlewagon" : The Herkimer Battle Jitney

my second choice, if I wanted to stay on the road for years, in comfort, would be this:
