standies

Postby Greg Barrick » Wed Sep 11, 2013 7:36 am

Hi ya'll, I have a question. I had a 4x8 cubbie and now a 6'-4" x 12' " Campster 12". Years ago, while going thru TnTTT, they used to have a "standee" section. It's been gone for quite awhile. But being more "mature" now, (don't bend well) where does a body go to find info and plans on building a standie, or better yet, a "vintage type" travel trailer??? I am interested in building a little standee, somewhat like a puffin or perhaps more of a small standee, as low as possible with decent head room.

Hello Greg: You can go up to the top of the page into the Design Resources topic. There is a drop down list. You need to check out Design Library & Vintage Plans. There are plans for several "Standies" there and I have added a link to get plans for the two styles of the Squidget trailer.

Also go to the sketch up section on this forum and look for the one danlott designed (Two Person Standy) with the galley in the back, like a teardrop style.

I 'm sure more guys out there will lead you to the promised trailer of your dreams. Good Luck... ;)
I want a Standie too.

Here is one that I've been looking at. The folks in the thread kinda dissected into semi-plans lol... http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25814

With the shape using just radius's I think I might be able handle building something like it.

Most of the standies would be found in the canned ham/breadloaf section.

So what's that got to do with the question asked?

It's 'For Sale' Doris here in California. But that's ok, Jerry wants too much for it. ;)

Wow Gage. I love the Maxitear but don't have any money for a new teardrop at the moment. But thanks for letting me know Gage!
