Painting a roof vent .

Wondering if anyone has painted their roof vent ? Mine is looking scratched and rough . Cleaned it with soap and water but still looks bad . I'd like to paint white to match the exterior before I install it.

I'm assuming it's the clear/smoke plastic...but Krylon has a fusion paint in a rattle can that was developed for going over plastics. Doug

If it's a Fantastic Fan you may be able to get a new plastic dome from rvvent.com or from Fantastic Vent's customer service.
