There's always something worse. Go back to 1887 in your part of the country.

Slow, it has been bitter cold here all winter. Cold enough that the line from the well to the house froze last week. No water and the propane tank near empty. When they delivered the current price was 3.97 a gallon. So cold and poor is the way it is till April, maybe. We have already had over 62" of snow so far this year. It sucks, that's for sure. But remember Slow, it's cold but now your a working man so you have the bucks to buy a new thermometer.

I never thought nor did my family think I would ever say this.
I want to move someplace warm. Just got back from southern California in the desert and I wanted to stay. Been back a few hours and I am tired of being cold.

The west coast is having a cold snap. A friend who lives in the middle part, but says he is in Northern CA :) says even they are getting into the 20s during the night.
We Westside Warshingtonians are now paying for having unusually warm weather last month. Our high was 25 today, which is unusually chilly, although nothing like elsewhere.

We should be back to our normal foggy drizzle in a few days. Meanwhile, the woodstove is keeping the house nice and warm. Outside we have strong east winds, but no snow, yet.

-4 at our house right now, it was down to -11 last night. The GFCI feeding the truck's block heater tripped so it took awhile to get it started this morning.

Slow, you gotta come to So Calif. We even have horses here and open ranch land. I made the change from the midwest, 55 years ago and never regreted leaving all of that snow and ice. I love walking around in my shorts every day. Ahhhh.

I meant that California is running low on water. Not you. A friend says they are getting snow and rain now--in California.

Slow. Here in Idaho we hare having the driest winter in a long time, maybe since keeping records. Temp has not been to bad. I have seen far worse. Yesterday we finally got our first real snow of the winter. But not enough and we really need it up in the mountains for run off water. I fear snow this late and warm might melt and run off fast and early come spring time. It is always something.

The wx here has been unseasonably warm all winter. A couple of days in the 50s or so but mostly in the 70s and 80s with some days in the 90s. One or two very light rain storms with far less than a half an inch this season.

We're forecast for another week of mid to high 70s: https://www.google.com/search?q=simi+va ... 3&ie=UTF-8

Mostly shorts, t-shirt, and sandals for me this winter. I'm not sure that the scientists have figured out "climate change" but we ought to be a bit nicer to the only rock we'll ever call home.

WE have had some nice warmish weather so far this month. And some precipitation mostly in form of rain down here in the valleys and snow up in the mountains. Been so warm the lilacs are starting to bud. Hope they don't get a big surprise.
