Sounds like a good plan Mike......When Wyoming gives you snow, make a teardrop!

Maybe even rarer is that I am seeing the sun, or was. It has disappeared somewhere in the overcast gray sky. Yup, spring, summer, fall, winter in Western Warshington.

It's an overcast breezy day here in SLO, CA that should warm up to about 70 when the clouds burn off. May be a good enough day for some epoxy work. No worry about snow here on the Central CA coast. I haven't gotten around to planting this season's tomatoes and veggies yet...lazy Steve.

While I'm having coffee and letting the woodstove heat the house up, the forecast on the radio is for 80 degree days next week. :frightened: That's when I melt. Not in the rain, but on hot days. We mole people aren't used to that.

No snow here, but it is 10 degrees cooler today than yesterday, with 20-40 mph winds, and the temp is supposed to drop another 10 degrees tomorrow with more wind. Fortunately, the wind may keep us from having a freeze tonight. We've already lost the apricots this spring, and the apples are in full bloom or just past now (I have one in each stage). We didn't have any fruit last year, it would be sad to have another summer like that!

The kids played their last soccer game of the spring season yesterday, with only light breezes and temp in the 60s for the game--PERFECT! Okay, they lost, but they are on a recreational league team and were playing a competitive league team. Our team kids are quite philosophical about it, acknowledging that they play for fun and exercise, and they don't want to get yelled at (by coach or parents). If they were older, they would be like my brother's softball team at his first post-college job, taking a gulp of beer for every error a team member made. Beer softball and beer volleyball actually made my geeky little brother like sports just a bit.
Don't ever tell my kids about that story!!!

My step-mom is visiting her sisters and families in Denver today. Bad timing, eh? :snow

It's sunny and a chilly 54F in SLO, CA today. This afternoon I'm going to the Morro Bay harbor front for a fresh fish taco and maybe some live outdoor music on the dock at Tognazzini's Dockside Too restaurant. I may swing by Morro Bay SP campground on the way to see if Tabitha's family is camping in their teardrop like she planned. Since it's a bit chilly here on the California Central Coast I'll probably wear a hoodie to be comfortable.

Bye for now. Got to get going. 8)

yelp.com/tognazzinis-dockside-too-morro-bay Yummy!

edit: Met Tabitha and Bill at Morro Bay SP campground. They're a nice couple with a shy 12 yo daughter. They are a family of explorers checking out local campsites for future adventures. That morning they'd traveled to Kirk Creek, Lime Kiln, Sand Dollar Beach, Plaskett Creek and San Simeon.

There were two teardrop trailers in Morro Bay SP campground. No one was "home" in second one.

Tabitha, Bill and I tossed around the idea of doing a future TearJerkers gathering at Morro Bay SP campground.

All in all it was a good day. Had a nice visit with Tabitha and Bill. Enjoyed delicious fish tacos and live music at Tonnazzini's. Later in the afternoon I took a Morro Bay neighbor to the emergency room after he cut his hand in his garage workshop. What a day.
