My wife and I have started talking about dropping everything and hitting the road with our 2 kids, a 3 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. There is too much of this world that we haven't seen yet, and life is short. We would start the trip approximately 2 years from now, before they get too attached to friends, school, etc. I'm thinking we would travel North America in some sort of wheeled home for 1 year.
Obviously this is no small feat, and will take a lot of planning. Has anybody found good online resources for families of the same mindset?

When I was 8 we traveled from East TN to Northern California in a conversion van. Me, my brother, mom and dad and a Dalmation. It was about a 12 month trip and we ended up in Holly Hills, FL where we lived for a few years before moving back to TN in 1987. Anyway, I love the memories of that trip and I admire my parents for doing it. Good luck and have fun!!!
