Filon vs Aluminum

Postby ocasioc25 » Wed Aug 06, 2014 10:36 pm

Hello all,

I am to the point where I have to start covering my teardrop on the outside. Here are the two alternatives: filon or aluminum. Oh, another thing is that I live in North Delaware. Just 5 minutes from state lines of PA, NJ and MD. I've seen a couple of places online but the shipping is a bit expensive and they have to ship through a shipping company. Maybe I might sound cheap, but I need 40' to cover all three sides and that averages around $700.00 to $900.00 to cover in filon. The sides are a little bit over 4' tall and the top is a little bit over 5' 16" wide. For the top from front to rear is bout a foot shy of 20'. I used a 5' x 8' trailer and it has the curve in the front and back which goes past the edge of the trailer making it almost 10'.I've done some reading on both filon and aluminum and they both have their pros and cons. Now... I could use a few tips from you guys in which should be best. Another one is that I wouldn't mind making a short trip near by to pick up either one but so far I am thinking aluminum. Kind of make it a weekend vacation and pick it up.

Well guys, any opinion or ideas will be helpful. Again, thanks for your help.
