I finally got it!

Postby Woodbutcher » Sun Aug 31, 2014 10:24 pm

I had posted early this year about this trailer. It is a 1951 Silver Streak Clipper. Twenty two feet long tongue to tail. The owner finally agreed to sell it. Today I went with a friend up to Wisconsin and brought her home. It is completely original and in very good condition for a 63 year old trailer. It towed well and will be a fun restoration project. Still looking for information on it, but that's half the fun. Here are a couple shots.

The lights on the bumper are temporary, just to get it home. The center light over the license plate is the original and only brake light. The 2 small lights with the eyebrows are turn signals only. This is one of the things I need to figure out what to do about.

The entry door has a separate screen door built it.

I will add some interior pics tomorrow.

Now that looks like a sweet project. Keep those pics coming!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll get some interior pictures up today. Slow, don't worry, I'm not getting rid of the teardrop. I will use them both!

That looks like fun. On the lights I add a led light kit and have all in one.
