Well, I got her home.

The PDI was quick, but thorough. We tested the strength of the catches on the hatch. No problem as they held with a good bit of tugging.
No spare tire. Not sure yet I'll get one. I do have roadside service - it's not like a 13" tire is a rare commodity.

The stabilizers are the crank down type. That was a happy surprise. Overall, fit and finish was excellent and I'm very happy with it.

Towing behind my Escape was a breeze. Toodled down the highway at 70 - 75 mph was no problem. Plenty stable and the aerodynamics appear to be excellent. Got above 20 mpg, as it was hilly along my 90 mile route. The last 20 minutes was an absolute downpour. No leaks anywhere when I got home, so that worked out well too.

My plans to put a bigger battery in may be nixed. The battery box actually sits in a metal frame that is obviously sized for a group 24. :(

Couple of interesting things - if you have a newer Ford with all the lane departure and stability controls gizmos on it, these cars are notoriously sensitive to trailers with LED lights. On other trailers, I've gotten bulb failure warnings, quick turn signal blinking, etc. With the T@G, the lights work normally IF you turn on the headlights. If you don't, then you get some feedback flickering. So I can live with having the headlights on during tow.

I was directed to this dealer by Little Guy. Holiday on Wheels in Columbia, SC. They were very nice. Interesting comment - he said that us teardrop buyers were "different" than his usual customers. I guess we are just easier to deal with, and probably not such hard bargainers as the big trailer folks. Thought that was funny.

I'll take some pics when I get my gear loaded.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I spent Sunday getting all my gear loaded and organized in the new trailer. I had boxes and boxes of stuff in my shop, so I picked thru it to find the best stuff.
One of the shortcomings of the T@G is no drawers and no shelves in cabinet under the galley. So I got a fabric tool bag to use as a holder for all my silverware, utentils, cups, plates, etc. It worked really well and you can pull it out and set it on a table if you want. The deep part of the cabinet held my nesting pot set perfectly, with room on top for a kettle. I got a stick on knife rack to apply to the back of the cabinet door, along with one of those things to hold grocery bags.

Up front around the battery and lp tank, I was able to pack in all my grilling stuff - a bag with utensils, a small coleman grill/stove, an ecoque grill and a ziplock of briquettes - an xhose, a "club" wheel lock and the shore power cord. It's all packed in tight, but layered for how you need to pull stuff out.

Under the bed I was able to pack in all my outdoor campsite stuff - folding chairs and side table, campsite rug, tiedowns, bungees, flagpole, fire tools, another extension cord. Only thing that won't fit is my folding coleman table. It's just a hair too thick, so it rides on the bed I guess.

It was kinda fun going thru all the stuff and trying to decide the best place to put stuff. But now she's packed and ready to go - just add food, clothes and water.

I also added the pigtail to use my gopower! portable solar panel (it uses and anderson-style connector) and zip-tied it to the wiring harness under the front cover. I reversed the wires on the zamp solar connector so I can plug in a battery tender jr. without plugging in the shore power cord. I discovered that zamp is reverse on the plug from the battery tender for some reason.
