Galley design and organization

Postby dreamofcolors » Tue Nov 04, 2014 9:05 pm

Hey all! I'm a soon-to-be teardrop owner... I pick it up from my builder in a week, and I've been scouring the forum looking for organization ideas on how to set up my galley.

What sold me on a TC Teardrops camper was the basicness of the galley and interior, and the ability to customize it as I see fit, but while I'm starting with a clean slate, I need ideas and suggestions.

So... what I really want are photos, ideas, etc. of organization tools. I'm starting from scratch and am brand new to teardrop camping.

Thanks!

Jenni

And here are some build pics of my soon-to-be tear!

It would be very helpful to add a link to the Galley Gallery to Design Resources. Hello TNTTT administrators please do so! :)

Jenni, Congrats on becoming another TCTeardrop owner! :applause: I love, love , love the color of yours---do you happen to know what the RAL color number is of that blue green shade? I see you went with the two vents on each side, and have the new style doors. What size did you go with? Ours is a 5 X 9. I hope you have as much fun with your new TCT as we have had with ours.

By the way, if you'd like to take a tour of ours, to check out the all the modifications we've done---we're located 50 miles south of Wausau, just off the Interstate. You'll be probably zipping right past us. Send a PM if you're interested

Thanks, Deb!

The color is RAL 5021, Water Blue, and I also got a 5x9. I couldn't be more pleased with it!!! I thought I wanted a RED teardrop, but the blue-green color just jumped out at me.

Two vents seemed like a brilliant idea... thanks for the advice on that. Other friends also said ventilation was the MOST important thing, so more is better.

I will be scouring your gallery for ideas. I'm anxious to start customizing.

Oh... I'm actually picking it up in Ohio. Todd and Carol are visiting family there, so it's 10 hours closer to me to pick up there.

Way to go    I'm not surprised that Todd and Carol are bringing it out that way for you. I've heard numerous stories of how accommodating and helpful they are to their customers (me included). They want their customers to be 100% happy with their teardrops. And they're fun people to be around---we've been to both the first and second annual TCTeardrops gathering near Portage, Wisconsin each fall-hope you'll get a chance to attend one in the future!.

I haven't had chance to post any photos in my gallery----but if you check out "Working with the Décor, parts 1 through 5, I have lots of photos posted in those threads. In case you haven't come across it yet, here's TCTeardrops old Flickr photostream link. Has some examples of reconfigured TCT galleys

It is there, #5, just above A-Z Threads & Information, in SDTripper2's Indes of the pull down menu, Design Resources.
A link can also be found under Galley in A-Z Threads & Information, above.

(I guess you could say I've been there...done that...: If #5 had been a snake, I would have stepped on it and it would have bit me.
So, they later added the other reference in the A-Z Threads & Information area.)
