West Virginia HF tittle process

Postby LashleyT » Mon Dec 01, 2014 3:59 pm

The WV DMV does not recognize the certificate of origin from HF for a tittle. HF has to process the tittle paperwork and send it into the DMV. Has anyone had this problem in another state? It seems to take a long time to get a tittle. Bought a kit in September and still do not have a tittle. Sent an email to HF headquarters to find why such a delay. I'll post their their reply.

It was easy in Florida- the C of origin and sales receipt was all I needed to get my registration and plate. Same with my home made plywood boat- show my Lowe's receipts, tell the clerk how long it is and bada-bing, pay the money and you get your decal for the boat. In Florida, if you put a trolling motor on a log, it has to be registered.

When I lived in Michigan all it took was the certificate of origin and sales receipt for tax paid not here in WV. Just got the tittle today in the mail after 3 months.
