Welcome aboard. Once you master this forum, you'll be able to do anything. ;)

So did you restore a Benroy or build a teardrop that is shaped like a Benroy? There is a difference you know. And as for the pictures. You need to create an album here to store them, like most of the members do. Just click on 'User Control Panel' and then follow the instructions.

Welcome to the forum ole chap, I mean, young chap. Gotta ask regarding your name: Are you a Gary C, or meaning Gary Circa. Either way, 1955 was/is a GREAT year :wine: :D and I think Gage is right, once you master the forum. . . .hard act to follow that experience

The trailer is a copy of a Benroy,I suppose I wasn't clear.I'll try to post again ,I have no trouble posting elsewhere. So I thought I knew what I was doing. So no thoughts or ideas on building a Propert copy?I am having problems coming up with a plan. And yes I am circa 1955.Regards,Gary

Hi garyc1955,

You may already know about this, but there is a great Australian Vintage Caravan
website http://vintagecaravans.proboards.com/ .

They have a section called DHL - "Down History Lane" where they have collected
info on their various brands from over the years. Here's a link to their thread on
the Propert.

http://vintagecaravans.proboards.com/th ... ucluse-nsw

That is a very singular little caravan and should be fun for you to recreate. The lifting
mechanism may be the hardest part - unless you come up with your own design for that.
Maybe you could search for the Australian patent for the Propert, there should be some details
in that at least, I should think.

Cheers,
