Trying to make use of small space efficiently

Postby Steve W » Fri Apr 10, 2015 10:20 pm

There is not much room in my Runway trailer. So I have to make the best use of the space as possible. Plus , I want to keep things as light as possible too. My simple way to do this was to put in the Sterilite drawers. They are light weight and pretty strong, and with the drawers it is easy to keep things organized and neat.
I am going to add a shelf over them, and will be putting some appliances in to try to make things a little more comfortable. Probably just the microwave and coffee maker. Although, the pressure cooker would be nice to have also. I like pressure cooked foods. But I have to be careful about how much I take along with me. I am planning on taking an extended road trip maybe out west and if I take too many things and it becomes difficult I will be stuck with an uncomfortable situation. Unless I just want to pitch things that are taking up room without being too useful on the road. I don't want to have to do that, so I am trying to get this right before I leave.

I love my pressure cookef too and wouldnt be without one but A good alternative on the road is a thermal cooker.
Mines fantastic and with 30 mins prep in the morning g dinner is ready and piping hot anything up to 9 hours later and still well with the safty range food temp wise.
There are many brands but they arnt all equal by any means.
Mines an ecopot and far superior inner pot qualities than the cheaper versions, check them out

Here is an update of some changes I made today. I installed some shelves, and added some lighting. This is a work in progress. I am taking my time to try to get it as useful to me as possible for my upcoming road trip.
Here is a link to some more pics which gives a little more details
