Military trailer --> Teardrop?

Postby 6odzila » Mon Apr 13, 2015 8:44 pm

Has anyone converted one of the military style trailers to be enclosed to fit a matress? Ive really only seen them with RTTs on them. Wondering if it has been done, tried to search, didn't find much.

Guessing the smaller trailer won't cut it, but maybe someone here has expanded a frame a bit?

There's one person just starting their build on a military trailer, here: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=62581
You can follow along as the build begins!

There are larger military trailers like a MJU-110 trailer its build to hold up to 68,000 pounds of explosives. The military started phasing them out so you can find a lot of them on liquidation sites. there is a couple of other larger trailers as well. If you have any questions don't be afraid to PM me, trailers are part of my main duty AFSC in the Air Force.

Which military trailer do you plan to use. For a minute I was planing to do the small military style kit for the m100 available on e-Bay .I believe the m100 ,416 are 72'' long & 40'' at the base .At the top 48'' so maybe a lift up tent starting at the 48'' mark with storage in the bottom.
TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN,
YET AT THE SAME TIME, THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE,,, SO MAKE THE BEST OF IT WHILE YOU CAN, AND ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS

Do you have the m100 on hand? Or just something you are looking at? If you are not too far away from a military insulation I recommend goto govliquidation.com and check out there sales there sometimes you can manage to get something really cheap.
