Winegard Rayzar TV antenna

Postby wincrasher » Sun Apr 19, 2015 8:12 pm

I got this cool, compact thin TV antenna to use on my T@G. Some folks have reported mounting this on the underside of their AC shroud.

It sounds like it still would be aimed to get the best signal. For a really low cost antenna this works really good.

I made one of the "hillbilly" antennas & it really is much better than anything else I've tried. I had purchased a powered version from Radio Shack, the cheapo-version with some wires & a board works much better. Go figure, but the homemade one has to be seen & used to be appreciated. I'm going to make one for traveling & keep it in the back of the truck for camping near a town.

Here's something similar, which might be a good choice for some folks.

I have been using a redneck antenna since 2008 at home and on an occasional camping trip.

We have two redneck antennas at home - no reflectors - and they work great.
