Painting fan shroud

Anyone successfully painted thier fantastic fan inner shroud?
I've got nothing else white inside mine and I'm thinking of painting it black.
I've got duplicator plastic primer and esp primer .anyone used these much or know a better process or product. ..done it to thier?

I just cut some wood to match the other interior trim and put it on the screw flange like a picture frame. The only way that you see the white now is to look up into the fan.
