harbor freight q

Postby Lightfoot » Sat Feb 27, 2016 7:33 pm

My first post after browsing and bookmarking a ton of builds and build ideas. With that said, I've got a kinda duh question. Without making the round trip drive to a HF store I'm looking for the easy way out. I'm planning to purchase one of their 4x8 trailers for a simple teardrop build primarily for kayak fishing trips.

Are the trailers a typical in stock item and if so, what kind of box dimensions does it come in? I've got a small car with fold down back seats giving me just under 6 feet of storage space.

The 1750 lb capacity ones have easily fit in my Kia Sorento. Not sure of the exact length, but with my seat down the back is still a lot shorter than 6 FT.

Fortunately the frame members are only half the length of the trailer so the axle is the longest piece, which is about 5 and 1/2 ft long. The trailers come in two boxes, One long box with the axle and frame members, and a second squarish box with the tires and such.

Call the store first to verify they have it in stock. Often a store might carry one type but not all.
