New kind of saw which could help us builders.

Hi

Major manufactures of hand saws have been making “Plunge Saws” typically used to fit kitchens, however these have been very expensive £600+
The key component is the rail that guarantee a straight cut.

So the same manufactures are fitting comparable base plates to ordinary saws.
I am sure the price will come down in time but I wanted one now and became an early adopter. Also I was in the market for a replacement saw.

The saw is a good armature specification saw. £170 here in the UK
The rail however is still pricey I think as its just an extrusion at £60. These are my UK numbers, yours may differ (ie. 110V)
DEWDWE576K - Precision Circular Saw 190mm & track Base 240v
DEWDWS5022 - Plunge Saw Guide Rail - 1.5m

Other manufactures are available.

My story
To make my laminated curves I need a lot of 1/8” ply strips. This pile is 100 of the 500 I need

The cut could not be better as the extrusion has a rubber anti-splinter strip in it.
