I wasn't yet a member of the tnttt world when Andrew was active in designing. I am very impressed with his designs found in the Design Library and now via the way back machine. I'm dreaming of building his version of the Compact III.
Being an ancestry buff I was very curious and tried to find information about him, however, the bulk of the information is on tnttt with several folks saying in 2016 that they tried to contact him but received no replies. I assumed he is British (that might be from a suggestion I've read on the forum) so I searched obits from several areas of the UK. Andy and Andrew Gibbons is a very common name over there. A reference I found had him in Newcastle but I was not sure that was the teardrop designer. And there were several obits for Andrew Gibbons. I'm trying to nail down an approximate year he was last heard from here on tnttt.
I did find a reference to a design of his in an article about the Roswell Teardrop from January of 2018. An interesting article but unfortunately it doesn't give much information other than he was a design engineer from Newcastle.
