New TD; So what do I do with the old one?

After what seems years well 3 actually so it is years I have a new TD. Or Short Wife Standy"



I am looking forward to long trips and because it has a small sitting room, I hope will extend our camping season from early Spring to late Autumn.

We spent a fabulous holiday this year in our old TD, built in 2007. In a little deserted campsite in France sat out in the sun, light warm breeze, glass of wine; I fell in love with my old TD all over again. I love her and would not be pared for all the wealth of the indies.

BUT and its in capitals because it a big but. I can't house both.



I don't have a garage big enough
A storage container would cost more in a year than its worth
I can't leave it out side as it will rot
My children aren't interested
I don't need the money, It's worth more to me rotting than any cash
I would like to give it to a young family that could use it and would love it too.

So what have you done with your first TD? Any ideas.

I was just at a vintage trailer rally and was surprised how many were for sale. If you have something like that for teardrops, take the trailer for a nice weekend and see if you can leave without it.

I hope you find a wonderful young couple for your teardrop and they have many years of happy memories with it. If you are truly lucky you may find a friendship that is worth more than money!!!
