I just bought one also. Several in our group have them and they are a real nice sturdy addition to the campsite.

We bought the Gardenline version from Aldi. Going to be testing it out this next week.

Only issue with both brands is the length - my truck is a short bed 5 ft and they are close to 6. Had to test getting it in the TD and it fit - glad I didn't have to return it.

I am very interested in your report on the Gardenline which seems like a terrific price.

From what I can see there are very minor variation from brand to brand on the same basic design. Gazelle and Clam are almost identical in construction other than some feature differences.

Will be interesting to see if the two major difference are the price and brand labels :)

Awesome!!!!!! Could have sold 5 or 6 this week. Did several take downs and set up. Less than3 minutes. Half the people thought it was a clam shell product and said they wish they had the $500 plus for it. Gardenline and Aldi owe me a commission. Pics and more when we get home.

So I am resizing pics and making a gif of the video of wind. Will post soon.
My thoughts - 4.5 stars out of 5 - would buy again and recommend it to others

It keeps the bugs out but leave the zipper on the door open a bit too high - and the bugs stay in. Use a plastic fly swatter that won't catch the screen.

Geodesic design seems to defy the wind. Down side, wind does not come thru and it got a bit stuffy at times. Also a sprinkler went off nearby and it did not seem to be able to get thru either.

Think I figured out how to add a hook to the ceiling to hang a fan or light - they missed that feature.

Stakes are only slightly better than PaHa Que's poor excuse of a wet noodle. Still like my 10" nails with a fender washer.

The grommet holes are on the inside for the stakes. NICE the dog can't drag her cable around and hook it on the stakes. Seems I was always untangling her before.

I wish Robi would stop saying "how much she loves it and it only cost $100"

Still to find out how easy it will be to clean. Got a lot of sap on it and the lady bugs were emerging so a lot of bug stuff on it. It is too big to set up in our driveway to hose off.

have been thinking for quite awhile about getting one, and thank you for the "length" info - you just added another reason to my list of ' why' I got rid of the 5 ft boxed 4 dr PU I had had. Replaced it with a 5 year newer version - same color, 100,000 "less" miles on it, along with it being the 2 dr ex-cab with a 6 ft box (which is what I had been looking for when I bought the other one)

We have used the Traveler for over 6 years now. When this one wears out, it will be replaced with the same size Clam. Easy to set up and use it for overnight stays in "buggy" areas.
