Flash as.
Original was a bit Plain Jane wasn't it?
Good to see your upgrade didn't delete the fun button. :)

It's Sunday here, so I took it easy.
First off, I had a quick shower, then drove my son around to his mate's place to collect the work van he was in no state to drive home last night.
By the look of him this morning, he was fully flyblown last night. Couldn't even face a Berocca.

Then we went to a customer's house to readjust the electric gate that wouldn't close by an inch.
No one is saying what happened, but we noted the bottom hinge had a bend in it.

Came home, cut a pork shoulder into steaks and vacuumed packed it for the freezer.

Took a little time to go to one of the local footy club rooms to participate in the annual raffle that funds their juniors development program.

Luckily, I only had two beers, cause when I got home the missus informed me the washing machine had quit. Wouldn't go into the spin cycle.

After much fussin and head scratching and test running, I decided the pump wasn't emptying the bowl after the wash cycle.

So I emptied the damned thing with a scoop, tipped her over then exhausted my vocabulary of English swear words while getting the pump out. Had to start on Magyar and Deutsch.

Cleaned the pump out, checked the hoses for blockages, re-installed it and .........bugger all happened.
Pulled it out again, took it out to the shed and hooked her up with a suicide lead. No swear words came to mind.
Some South Africans I know tried to teach me some the other day, but they didn't stick.
Sure enough, she don't spin.

I'm a bit of a magpie, so I happened to have a pump out of another machine stashed away.
Only difference was the outlets on the housing.
6 screws and a few French words later, I had the good pump motor hooked up to the good housing.
Back in it went.

Twice. Because, even though I'd only installed it a half hour previous, I forgot the drain hose has to be connected before you mount the pump.
Used a swear word one of my Greek mates taught me for that one.
:x

Pump worked. So I washed the floors after all that mess and threw in a load of towels.

Now I'm working my way through a bowl of ice cream, then I'm going to hit the hay.
Next quiet Sunday, I'm going to hide away somewhere.

Can you come down and teach me how to run a lathe? You can camp here on my place, fish during the day and teach me lathe work in the evenings.
Alabama winters aren’t as cold as some places.

Nope. I sent him a PM.
I t is still sitting in my outbox. I believe that messages sit in the outbox until the recipient reads them.
So presumably he hasn't seen the message.

Got a bad feeling about this.

Ripped the local bike trails with my little girl. She has the week off work and came home to play with dad. Maybe mom too, but I'm pretty sure she came back to play bikes with me.

Sorry, I have been away. Been busy with work, cleaning my shop, and my Harbor Freight dust collector finally annoyed me enough to upgrade the puny impeller to one that actually works...

Had to fix my fridge before thanksgiving. Hope I did it right. It stopped cooling, but the compressor / pressures were still good. Icy cold just at the evaporator, but nowhere else. And no moving air. Yep evaporator fan died. Just finished swapping that out a few minutes ago.

I spent the day trying to give away about $150.00. It is now all but impossible to get propane tanks filled. I had 13 to fill to get ready for winter in the tiny house. Well all but one were "out of date". OMG they will probably blow up if filled  ! The one I was able to get done and the fill was $21 and change. I took the remaining ones and made a 12 mile trip to the ag propane dealer the next town over. They explained they also could only fill them if they were re-certified but their sister plant could do that 30 miles farther north and then fill them. Well I drove the 30 miles to find that re-certification was not a courtesy it was a $25.00 charge and additional for the fill.( had been running $20 for my #20 pounder sized ones) So if you do the math that is $540.00 to fill the remaining twelve tanks. Guess I am going to look into a big tank being set :(

Exchange them at Blue Rino or etc
. Usually only filled to 15 lbs, but is between. $18.00 and $20.00 at most hardware stores or etc.. That's what I do with expired tanks.
