Happy Thanksgiving Slow! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Shelly said this is the first time she cooked the entire meal: Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls, and green bean casserole. She found a 3 lb turkey (how do they survive without bones?)

We had a nice meal, just the two of us. Don't tell Shelly, but I really liked not going to the in-laws this year. :shhh:

Plenty of leftovers too.

We also made apple pies (in 7 inch mess kit pans), and I made the crust. Tried bacon grease for the shortening, and that was a bit of a mistake: Made for a very creamy crust, which isn't quite what you want. However, we had apple glop with ice cream and it tasted just fine.
