Truck bed teardrop

Thought it was about time I posted a few pics of the latest project...a 4x8 built from a 1954 Chevy truck bed!
I know... why on earth?! Partially from a dare, just needed something to work on during retirement. Plus I have
1948 Chevy truck to tow it. The bed is mounted on a utility trailer, with 15” tires/wheels, gonna add extra tongue
Framing, all of it will be painted with patina to match my truck,minimal cabinets, 5” foam mattress... split to make a couch!

I HAD A 65 FORD PICKUP AND A 65 FORD PICKUP BED TRAILER (damn cap lock ) My hobby business was building mini barns so I put a barn top on the trailer as a rolling ad ! I will see if I can dig up a picture it was kinda cute ! I later modified it a bit and put it on my Dodge pick up ( I did find that picture)

Quite a bit of progress. Interior getting closer. Cabinets need to be finished and cushions covered

Exterior ready for paint. Hanging a 1939 Dayton military bike on the front

Paint going on to match the old pick up truck. Windows and trim sealed

Door construction 101. Found an old window and latch online. Got the Filon on and ready to sand and paint

I wish I had money to spend on old cars and trucks. I don't know much but love the look. My oldies are '66 and '67 VWs.
