A good image hosting site for sharing pics?

Postby Woodstramp » Thu Mar 10, 2022 1:48 am

The last site I used here for sharing build photos was Tinypic.

That was like ten years ago. Not sure if Tinypic is even still around and i know my login info is lost. :)

What pic host do you folks use here?

I use Imgur...

That sunrise was last August in the middle of Idaho. There are a few benefits of having a weak bladder. :frightened:

Select the resize to 640 x 480 when uploading.

I was peeing off this railing at near-zero-dark-thirty and thought, "sweet Jesus, I gotta grab my phone."

I like smugmug. Granted it is a paid for service. But it is nice -- good anywhere service, open or closed or selective access per image.

I'm wondering as well. What am I missing by just putting photos in my album on tnttt?

I’m active on other forums as well, like the Jeep Liberty forums and a military vehicles forum. I keep my photos in a central location (postimages.org) so I can link to them from whatever forum I’m writing a post on. I have my photos in different folders on the postimages site but there is some crossover. I also like how postimages.org can be set up to shrink them in size so they look reasonable on the forums.

The disadvantage of course is if my photo hosting site ever goes belly up, then I have to re-link the photos in all my posts to a new image hosting site. This happened to me once before when PhotoBucket started charging a million dollars to host photos. That’s when I switched to PostImages.
