You painted it WHAT?

Postby Wrecit » Mon Apr 25, 2022 12:44 pm

Ok doing a 6x12 enclosed conversion complete with reskinning the outside. Wife thinks you should paint anything any color you want as long as it's black. Knowing this I have a picture of the finished product in my head. Thinking going gloss black with gun metal stone guard and 10 inch gun metal up the rounded corners and a colored stripe on sides

Working on the trailer removing the old skin in 80 degrees got me thinking I may be making a sweat box if it's black. I am installing two 2x4 ft windows in it and it does have the man door but it will not have a door on the rear.

Should I think white or cream or stay the course and go black?
You hide your conversion and call it stealth. I put mine out in the open and give it a beer.

I have had both the black trailer and the white. I can tell you that white is alot easier to keep cool in Florida. On the other hand , if you get a big enough air conditioner, you can keep just about anything cool.

B-B-B-Black? I once had a silver sedan with a black interior and no AC. I just about died in that thing, even after I added the AC.

Unless you live in an extremely cold environment and the heat sink effect would be a benefit to you, black paint is almost never a good idea.
