door idea

Postby bartmetz » Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:30 pm

I saw some old glass shower doors by the road. It's wavy glass and tempered so I started to think about a coffee table. Then it hit me! These may be a great start to a really cool teardrop door. :-) Just an idea so haven't done it. Maybe I ought to go back and see if the doors ate still on the curb?

Tossing this in the kitty.

Security glass film. Aside from the security if a rock got ticked up on the hwy. at least youd still have a functioning door.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

Remember, you can’t cut them to size…
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

Teardrops can get stuffy fast. We always crack the vent fan lid and open the screened windows in the two doors. With the lid open, it creates convection and on a warm evening, the breeze coming in from the windows really feels nice.

If you go this route, make sure you've still got room for screened windows somehow.
